The administration of US President Donald Trump intends to redirect some of its anti-drone technology intended for Ukraine to its own troops based in the Middle East.
The administration of US President Donald Trump intends to redirect some of its anti-drone technology intended for Ukraine to its own troops based in the Middle East.
According to the Wall Street Journal, these are special detonators in surface-to-air missile systems used by Ukraine to shoot down Russian drones.
As WSJ journalists write, last week the Pentagon informed Congress that the redirection of these detonators, used in the precision strike system, had been identified by Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth as an «urgent matter.»
At the same time, the detonators were purchased for Ukraine by the Joe Biden administration.
It is noteworthy that this decision was made against the background of the fact that Russia has intensified its drone attacks on Ukrainian cities in recent months.
