The modern world, full of dynamic technological changes and new challenges, requires an adult to have the ability to quickly update and expand their knowledge and skills. Adult education is significantly different from children’s education: it is based on personal experience, clear motivation, practical value, and optimal time management. In this article, Olesya Ulyanova, Ph.D, MBA, CEO of Telesens, Founder of ITGC, USAID Ex-mentor, will review the key features and methods of adult education, provide advice on building a habit of continuous self-development, and also talk about the importance of such a skill as «unlearning» — abandoning outdated knowledge and beliefs.

There is a persistent shortage of technical specialists in Ukraine, which did not disappear during the full-scale war. One of the challenges in the development of STEM education is the creation of modern laboratories and centers for working with technologies in practice on the basis of educational institutions. With the support of philanthropists, such spaces are a reality during the war, even in small communities in front-line regions, where children have been studying online for years due to the tense security situation. Using the example of a pilot DIY laboratory in the Dnipropetrovsk region from the savED charitable foundation and the Tokarev Foundation , we tell you how such locations work and why technological philanthropies are now co-initiating their creation.

22-year-old Bohdan Oliynyk has been working as a DevOps Engineer for 8 months, has already worked on more than one project and has brought many solutions, having a Strong Junior level closer to Middle. However, he recalls that he never thought that he would choose this specialty, and he managed to get into IT only on the fourth attempt. Every third specialist got into EPAM thanks to the EPAM Campus training programs. The company trained 500 juniors for itself. In 2024, more than 40 such programs were held, involving more than 400 production experts in teaching, and the number of graduates exceeded 3,500.
