Ukrainian company Ajax Systems, which produces home security systems, has introduced the EN54 Line fire protection products.
«Ajax Systems always strives to expand the boundaries of what is possible and transform a conservative and unwieldy industry into a modern and high-tech one», — said Oleksandr Konotopsky, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Ajax Systems.
The core of the EN54 line is the Fire Hub Jeweller, a wireless fire control panel (PCP) for controlling fire alarms on a facility. It has a 10.1-inch touchscreen and displays all the necessary information about the system status and alarm notifications.
Fire Hub Jeweller supports 200 addressable devices and 40 fire zones. It is complemented by GlandBox (accessory for side cable entry through cable glands) and EN54 ReX Jeweller (increases the communication range between the control panel and system devices).
The EN54 Line also includes addressable smoke and heat detectors, with or without built-in 85dB sounders, the EN54 FireProtect Jeweller. The company says they provide audible and visual signals that activate in a «record three seconds after alarm».
Ajax also introduced MotionCam series sensors and video surveillance cameras that complement the fire safety system with visual alarm verification functions. When an alarm is raised, they send a photo or video recording to the Ajax applications and the monitoring console within seconds.
«This allows those responsible for fire safety at the facility to quickly check whether there is indeed a threat, and also avoid panic and useless calls,» the company explains.
Ajax Systems’ blog states that the devices are equipped with batteries that last 5-7 years; they provide advance warning of low battery and perform automatic self-diagnosis, sending data about their status to the control panel and Ajax applications. The security engineer can receive a full report on the system’s status remotely in the Ajax PRO Desktop application.
Previously, Oleksandr Konotopsky said that Ajax Systems works in almost all areas of electronic security and is preparing to launch a corporate fire safety system in Europe in July.
