American helicopter manufacturer Bell Textron opens subsidiary in Ukraine

The company officially announced the creation of Bell Textron Ukraine and its intention to open a local office, which should become a hub for helicopter maintenance, repair, and assembly.
This stage is a logical continuation of the process launched in the fall of 2025 after signing a memorandum with the Ministry of Economy of Ukraine. The partnership roadmap includes:
creation of a final assembly and testing center (FACO);
exploring the joint venture (JV) model;
transfer of technology and equipment;
training of Ukrainian engineers, first in the USA, and later in Ukraine.
The company has not yet disclosed the volume of future investments, the configuration of the production site and the exact address of the office. However, analysts consider the registration of the Ukrainian structure and the agreed roadmap as the transition of the project to the pre-investment phase. That is, the company is already forming an operational contour for future localization.
InVentures, citing Janes, reports that Bell Textron has signed letters of intent for the possible transfer of AH-1Z Viper attack helicopters and UH-1Y Venom multi-role helicopters to Ukraine (through the Foreign Military Sales mechanism). The company emphasizes that these platforms (H-1) have a high level of unification, which makes the deployment of a repair and service base in Ukraine industrially justified.
It is worth noting that Bell Textron enters Ukraine at the peak of its financial growth, and not as a peripheral asset. According to the results of 2025, the company's revenue increased by 20% and reached $4.28 billion. Of this, more than $2.6 billion was brought in by military programs. Currently, Bell generates almost a third of the total business of the parent corporation Textron, and its order portfolio is about $7.8 billion.
