Americans have developed technology to control thousands of drones simultaneously in the air, on land, and at sea
L3Harris Technologies has introduced a new software solution called AMORPHOUS, designed to manage thousands of drones through a single user interface. This innovative platform aims to improve operational control for the US military and its allies by allowing them to coordinate a variety of UAVs, regardless of manufacturer.
L3Harris Technologies has introduced a new software solution called AMORPHOUS, designed to manage thousands of drones through a single user interface. This innovative platform aims to improve operational control for the US military and its allies by allowing them to coordinate a variety of UAVs, regardless of manufacturer.
AMORPHOUS is an autonomous multi-domain operational platform for various drone swarms, featuring a user-friendly control system. The system provides military operators with the versatility to perform complex missions in various domains, writes Interesting Engineering.
“The AMORPHOUS architecture allows for the support of multiple missions and rapid integration of various unmanned systems across a wide range of operations,” says John Rambo, president of IMS at L3Harris.
One of the key features of the development is support for decentralized decision-making, which allows individual unmanned platforms to autonomously perform tasks and make decisions in real time within an operational network.
L3Harris is currently working on prototypes of AMORPHOUS technology under contracts with the US Army and the Defense Innovation Unit.
Preliminary testing has demonstrated the system's ability to effectively manage multiple objects from different types of vehicles operating in a variety of conditions.
Vinnytsia developers have created a board and an application that allow you to autonomously launch a swarm of drones into the sky, assigning a target to each of them. They say they have already received requests from the military
