The Ministry of Economy is forming a separate, strong institution dealing with digital products — the state enterprise «Digital».
This was stated by the CDTO of the Ministry of Economy, Oleksandr Tsybort, in an interview with dev.ua.
«We are developing a strong internal institution for digital, building the State Enterprise „Digital“. We want this State Enterprise to become the implementer and single point of entry and exit for all digital projects of the Ministry of Economy, which, in fact, are related to the economic sector. It is also about building internal competence — to write something and develop code,» he explained.
According to the Deputy Minister of Economy for Digitalization, the State Enterprise «Diya» under the Ministry of Digital Affairs works in a similar way.
«Today, of course, we are far from them, but this is an example of what is already well-built in the country — when one institution has united and is closing many state projects,» commented Tsybort.
Oleksandr Tsybort also said that the product team in all digital projects of the ministry consists of about 30 people, so when developing products, they rely mainly on the project offices created thanks to grantors.
«Everything related to the product part works through donor programs. There are very few people in the ministry who are responsible for the product. Again, first of all, because of the salary,» explained the CDTO of the Ministry of Economy.
As dev.ua previously wrote, Google will allocate $5 million for the development of the Ukrainian digital platform «Obriy».
