It is dedicated to the memory of serviceman Serhiy «Bashnya» Petrenko, who died in a Russian terrorist attack in Olenivka. His mother participated in the development of the service.
«Hello everyone, we recently created a platform for veterans and the military. If you have a business that provides discounts to veterans, be sure to write to us by email or via the feedback form and we will add information about you to the site,» developer Dmytro Sapozhnyk reported on the launch of «Bashta».
The platform allows you to conveniently find businesses that offer discounts to Ukrainian military personnel and veterans. Bashta allows you to search by city or category. Currently, cities available include Kyiv, Lviv, Dnipro, Bucha, Brovary, Irpin, Obukhiv, Boryspil, Cherkasy, and Krakow; and the services are mostly medical.
«The idea to create the „Bashta“ platform appeared after the death of Serhiy Petrenko, call sign „Bashnya“, as a result of the Russian terrorist attack in Olenivka. It was in memory of his son and his words „Do the deed“, which he incredibly managed to hear from captivity, that this impetus to action appeared… This is the project that we would really like to have for Serhiy, if he returned,» the service description says.

The Tower development team included:
Natalia Petrenko is Serhiy’s mother, an HR professional with many years of experience. She gathered the first people around the idea.
Anna Moreira is a co-founder, recruiter, and volunteer who has been supporting veterans for many years.
Dmytro Sapozhnyk is the developer who turned the idea into a digital product. It was he who came up with the idea for the online format and created the basis of the Bashta platform.
Anna Dudnik is a UI/UX designer who joined the team after a call for help.
No registration is required to use the platform. «Bashta» provides only up-to-date information about services, and to make an appointment or consult, you need to contact the selected specialist or institution using the specified contacts.
«We regularly check data about service providers to ensure that they remain up-to-date. In the event of changes in offers or conditions, we try to promptly make appropriate adjustments to our catalog,» the developers note.
