Ukrainian-Estonian startup Korven Systems is developing two systems for drone interceptors. OraVision should help the drone independently track and precisely target its target, and Ora Mission Control should allow operators to remotely control trained interceptors and manage available drones.

Yevhen Zhebko, the founder of the startup, told Defender Media about the development. He also develops Teletactica, which produces electronic warfare-resistant communication systems for UAVs.

One of Korven Systems' main products is the OraVision terminal guidance system. It will help the drone track the target and take on the precise guidance of the interceptor at the final stage. Its main targets should be various modifications of the Shahed and Geranium. OraVision can work with both aircraft-type drones and multi-rotor drones.

The interceptor also wants to install a compact radar from Valkyrie Dynamics, and combine data from the radar and optics into a single picture. This approach is called sensor fusion, so if the camera sees the target worse due to darkness, smoke or weather, it can be supplemented by radar.

This data will then be processed by a computer directly on board the interceptor drone. For this, Korven plans to use single-board computers from the Ukrainian DroneMateAI to avoid dependence on foreign platforms such as the Raspberry Pi.

Another part of the project is Ora Mission Control. The system should allow operators from a remote command center to see which interceptors are ready to launch and control the available drones. In such a scenario, a mobile team on site can prepare the drones for flight and mark in the system which ones are ready. This information will be sent to the server, after which operators from the command center can remotely control the prepared interceptors.

Thus, operators can potentially control a larger number of trained interceptors, and part of the guidance will be taken over by an automatic system.

OraVision is already being tested in Ukraine and other European countries. Korven has also agreed to integrate its system with Ukrainian drone manufacturer Black Bird and Finnish Viima Aerospace Technologies, which develops high-speed interceptors.

Previously, dev.ua wrote that MaXon Systems is creating a system that should automate most of the flight of an interceptor drone.
