This add-on extends Chrome's existing ability to autofill addresses, passwords, and payment information.
Users who have enhanced autofill enabled on their computers will see their passport and driver's license numbers, as well as vehicle information — such as license plate or VIN code — and other data automatically filled in on web pages when they are asked to enter this information, TechCrunch writes .
Google also announced that Chrome now better understands complex forms and different formatting requirements, which will increase the accuracy of filling out forms on the Internet.
The company notes that Chrome only stores AutoFill data when the user gives it permission to do so, and that the browser will protect this information with encryption. It will also ask for confirmation before Chrome fills in the saved information on the user's behalf.
Chrome plans to add support for even more data types in the coming months.
