Swedish-Ukrainian edtech company Beetroot Academy has announced the launch of the Embedded Talent Program. The 5-month training course is designed for 30 developers and engineers who are looking to transition into embedded development.
The main goal of the initiative is to expand the human resources potential of the Ukrainian defense tech sector, which is experiencing a shortage of specialists in the development of hardware solutions, the press release states.
"Thanks to the partner’s funding, another 30 specialists will be able to undergo training, gain practical experience with equipment, and prepare their own projects. For us, this is an opportunity to attract more people to embedded who already have experience in programming or engineering," said Nazariy Lytvyn from Beetroot Academy.
The Embedded Talent Program includes 128 hours of hands-on training with experts from the hardware and defense tech industries. Students will work with ESP32 and STM32 microcontrollers, UART, I2C, SPI protocols, create boards in KiCad, and master the FreeRTOS OS. All participants will receive kits of 45 electronic components for practice.
C/C++ developers, electronics, automation, IoT engineers, and technical university students with relevant experience and English level B1 or higher are invited to participate. Preference will be given to women, veterans, their family members, and IDPs.
Participants must be willing to study for at least 20 hours per week and reside in Ukraine. To confirm participation, selected candidates must make a deposit of 17,000 UAH (20% of the course fee), which is fully refundable after the successful defense of the final project.
The training will start on December 1, 2026, and you can apply until November 23, 2026 (until 6:00 PM).
After completing the course, representatives of a European company will review the participants' final projects and will be able to invite graduates for interviews, although the program does not guarantee automatic employment.
