DroidUp, a company specializing in robotics, has presented its new product - the Moya robot, writes TechSpot.
Cameras behind the robot's eyes allow it to see and interact with people, and its skin, body temperature, and muscles are much more human-like than previous similar machines.
Moya is based on a modular bionic platform that can be customized with different gender characteristics and appearances.
A highly customizable bionic robot head can reproduce a range of micro-expressions, from joy and anger to sadness and happiness.
In addition to the AI features that allow Moya to perceive and react to its surroundings, a lot of attention has been paid to the robot's gait. DroidUp claims that their creation's posture accuracy while walking is 92%. Although the gait still lacks smoothness.
Moya's other characteristics include a height of 165 cm and a weight of 32 kg, but her most human-like trait may be her warm skin. According to DroidUp, Moya maintains a body temperature between 32 and 36 degrees Celsius.
DroidUp sees Moya as more than just a home robot. The company plans to use Moya in healthcare, education, and other commercial areas where direct human-robot interaction is important.
The robot is planned to be launched for sale by the end of 2026.
