BlaBlaCar has launched the Ease Pickup feature, which allows passengers to see the location of a driver approaching the pickup point on a map in real time.
This was reported by the company's press service.
A separate screen with a map has appeared in the application. It shows the pick-up point and the driver's car moving to the meeting point. Nearby, you can also see the exact address, driver details, and buttons for quickly switching to chat or navigation.
When the driver is nearby, the passenger will receive a push notification. The map can also be opened from the home screen, the “Your trips” section, the inbox, the trip plan or the chat. BlaBlaCar hopes that the new feature will help solve one of the most stressful parts of a shared trip - finding each other before the start. The company expects that it will also reduce the number of delays, missed boardings and cancellations.
Previously, dev.ua wrote that BlaBlaCar announced the largest expansion in the last 10 years - the service began entering the markets of 20 more countries in Europe, Latin America, Southeast Asia, and Africa.
