The Ukrainian Blade interceptor drone, which can accelerate to 310 km/h and take off vertically even from unequipped sites, has passed the codification of the Ministry of Defense. It can now be purchased for the Defense Forces.
This was reported by the company's press service.
Blade was created to intercept aircraft-type drones. It can operate at a distance of up to 30 km and carry up to 0.5 kg of payload. And day and thermal imaging cameras allow the interceptor to be used around the clock.
To control the drone, the company has developed a portable station in a case format. Through it, the operator receives telemetry and video from the drone and controls its flight. The station can operate continuously for at least four hours.
Phantom Defense says it plans to scale up production of the Blade after codification. The interceptor will become part of the company's comprehensive system that combines drone detection, electronic warfare, kinetic interceptors, and a control platform.
Previously, dev.ua wrote that Phantom Defense introduced another means of countering drones — the FPV drone interceptor "Mangal". It attacks the target with a net with weights that entangles and shoots down the drone.
