At the initiative of the SBU, the National Center for Operational and Technical Management of Electronic Communication Networks of the State Service for Special Communications issued 5 orders obliging Internet providers to restrict access to sites from Hungary, Romania, Greece, and Moldova.
Among the blocked sites:
Hungarian language resources: News Front (hu.news-front.su), Bal-Rad, Hirlistazo, Demokrata, Vdtablog, Origo, Szilaj Csikó, Pravda Magyarország;
Moldovan and Romanian: Pravda Romania, Flux24, Sputnik Moldova–România, TopWar (ro.topwar.ru), Rezistenta.info, website of the Party of Communists of the Republic of Moldova (pcrm.md).
the Greek website 902.gr, which is the official resource of the Greek Communist Party.
As Uablocklist reports , all blocked sites depicted the war through the prism of Russian propaganda — with fictional "successes" of the Russian army, "betrayals" of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, and stories about "terrorist activities" of Ukrainians.
In addition, the sites ridiculed the West for its support for Ukraine, portrayed the EU and NATO as disunited and ineffective, and criticized the sanctions policy. In parallel, they broadcast conspiracy theories - in particular, about "external management" through foundations, public organizations, and George Soros personally. Some resources played on conflicts around LGBT, migration, and religion, increasing the polarization of society. At the same time, such messages were adapted to a specific audience: Hungarian, Romanian, Moldovan, or Greek.
