BlueBird Tech introduces new ultra-lightweight Yagi-Uda Lite antennas for drones and communication systems
Ukrainian company BlueBird Tech is expanding its line of radio equipment and presenting new ultra-light directional antennas Yagi-Uda Lite 750 and Yagi-Uda Lite 915. Created with an emphasis on mobility and rapid deployment in combat conditions, the new series is designed to significantly increase the range and quality of communication in both digital and analog systems. According to the developers, these solutions will provide the military with a stable connection over long distances where it is critically needed.
According to the company, the main feature of the new antennas is the combination of high gain (up to 9 dBi) and minimal weight. Depending on the model, the devices weigh only 75–85 grams, making them an ideal and effective solution for use in drone repeaters, ground stations, and remote communication complexes.
How antennas work
The new antennas form a directional Yagi-Uda radiation pattern, concentrating the signal in the desired direction. This allows not only to increase the range of communication systems, but also to reduce the impact of interference and improve the quality of data transmission.
The Yagi-Uda Lite 750 operates in the 730–840 MHz range and is optimized for 750 MHz, while the Yagi-Uda Lite 915 is designed to operate in the 870–1000 MHz range with a nominal frequency of 915 MHz.
"Due to their compact size, low weight, and mechanical strength, the antennas can be integrated into both unmanned systems and stationary or mobile communication systems — without placing a significant burden on the platform," the company added.
The new Yagi-Uda Lite 750 and Yagi-Uda Lite 915 antennas are now available for order on the official BlueBird Tech website.
