Ukrainian company BlueBird Tech has introduced a new modification of the aircraft-type drone — "Bebradron-M". This special version is designed as a target and is intended for training interceptor drone operators, as well as for practicing counter-air reconnaissance scenarios.
The main goal of the development is to provide the military with the opportunity to train on a real drone in conditions as close to combat as possible, and not just on computer simulators.
"We created the Bebradron-M as a practical tool for training operators. When working with interceptor drones, it is important not only to know the theory, but also to be able to work with a real aerial target. Our UAV provides an opportunity to practice such skills in various scenarios," BlueBird Tech notes.
The new modification allows crews to detect, pursue and intercept real air objects. In addition to training, the UAV performs the function of simulating false targets. Foil materials are applied to the wings of the device, if necessary, to increase its radar visibility. This allows you to create additional marks on radars and practice scenarios in conditions of a massive raid or the presence of a large number of air targets.
The modification has no warhead, cruise control and navigation systems. At the same time, the device is capable of carrying up to 2 kg of payload.
The UAV’s cruising speed is 70 km/h, and the maximum speed is up to 115 km/h. The flight duration of the device is up to 25 minutes with a range of up to 30 km. The drone operates at an altitude of 200 to 700 meters and is launched using a pneumatic catapult with auto-takeoff support.
The basic equipment of the aircraft-type UAV includes a twilight camera, analog video communication, control at a frequency of 915 MHz and a 6S3P battery. However, at the customer's request, the configuration can be changed and the necessary components can be installed.
