The BlueBird Tech blog notes that localization has improved the maneuverability of the devices and reduced their cost.
The company claims that they decided to switch from Chinese counterparts to their own developments not only because of logistical risks, but also because of technical requirements. In particular, new speed regulators allow the drone to operate without restrictions on energy distribution, which is critical for rapid maneuvers in combat conditions.
«Thanks to powerful speed controllers, the FPV „Horror“ has no restrictions in energy distribution, can maneuver sharply and quickly gain speed. This is an advantage in the sky, which is achieved thanks to Ukrainian parts,» BlueBird Tech notes.
In addition to technical specifications, the shift to local components has had a positive impact on the «factory economy.» Domestic production eliminates complex logistics chains that are often targeted by sanctions pressure or delays from China. This allows the company to more quickly increase the pace of assembly for the needs of the Defense Forces.
Previously, BlueBird Tech announced the «Horror» combat FPV drones with fiber optics. The line includes three models: «Horror 10», «Horror 13» and «Horror 15». All have a flight range of up to 15 km and reach speeds of up to 90 km/h. The most powerful version, «Horror 15», is capable of carrying up to 3 kg of explosives.
Recall that BlueBird Tech announced the launch of a missile division that will focus on creating domestic air defense systems. They will be designed to intercept not only strike drones, but also cruise and ballistic missiles.
