Polish Lubawa has created a modular mesh to protect armored vehicles from FPV drones

The Polish company Lubawa SA has developed a new lightweight protective system Lekka osłona siatkowa. The design is designed to protect combat vehicles from damage by FPV drones and cumulative anti-tank munitions. During the exhibition, anti-drone protection was demonstrated on the Bobr 3 armored reconnaissance vehicle.
This was reported by a Military correspondent from the international defense exhibition MSPO 2026 in Poland, where the development was first demonstrated to the public.
The system is designed to counter PG-7V and PG-7VM munitions, as well as threats from kamikaze drones. Thanks to the modular design, the screen dimensions can be adapted to the specific dimensions of the combat vehicle, and individual sections can be connected to each other with rigid hinges or Velcro straps.
The basis of the protection is a frame made of composite material or aluminum alloy, inside which cables made of tear-resistant material with a special all-weather coating are stretched. The attachment to the vehicle body is carried out using adjustable brackets, which allow you to adjust the distance between the mesh and the surface of the vehicle. During the exhibition, anti-drone protection was demonstrated on the Bobr 3 armored reconnaissance vehicle.
At Milipol Paris 2023, Lubawa showed modular ballistic vests and individual drone heat shields that can be connected to protect entire command posts.
The Polish manufacturer also has long-standing ties with the Ukrainian market. Back in 2014–2015, Lubawa SA signed memorandums of cooperation with the State Corporation «Ukroboronprom» on the creation of a joint venture and localization of the production of personal protective equipment and camouflage systems. The company supplied special equipment to the Defense Forces and adapted its developments to the needs of the front — from pneumatic models of equipment and mobile tents to protective screens from DRG and UAVs.
