The Brave1 defense technology cluster has announced a large-scale expansion of its grant program. By the end of 2025, Ukrainian defense technology developers will receive UAH 2.7 billion to create solutions that can change the course of war.
The Ministry of Digital Transformation announced the expansion of the Brave1 cluster grant program. The updated Brave1 grant program covers 70 technological areas in nine categories - from electronic warfare and attack drones to unmanned boats and missiles.
Developers can independently choose the amount of funding — from 500,000 to 8 million UAH, depending on the readiness of the product. The time for considering applications has been halved — to one and a half months, in order to transfer technologies to the front faster.
Priority areas:
Development of explosives,
Tactical ballistic missiles,
Artificial intelligence systems for combat and decision automation,
Anti-aircraft missile systems to counter enemy drones.
Application review procedure:
Verification of the technical part of the application for its compliance with the technological priorities and objectives of the grant program,
Preliminary consideration of the application by the Supervisory Board,
Verification of the applicant's complete package of documents for compliance with all requirements of the grant program,
The final decision is made by the Fund's Supervisory Board by majority vote.
You can view the full list of grant areas and apply for the competition on the official website of the Brave1 program.
Last spring, it was announced that as of then, after a year of operation, Brave1 had funded over 1,600 developments for $3.2 million.
