The defense company Infozahyst has introduced a new mobile electronic warfare (EW) complex on a tracked track - Mercury. The main task of the development is direct fire and electronic support of assault units on the front line.
This was announced by Yaroslav Kalinin, CEO of Infozahyst, in an interview with the Military edition.
The complex is based on the Soviet MT-LBu armored personnel carrier. The choice of this platform is not accidental: the chassis, developed back in the 1970s, was created precisely as a universal carrier for specialized equipment, command posts, communication systems, artillery systems and electronic warfare equipment.
Within the project, Infoprotection specialists:
the chassis and undercarriage of the armored vehicle were completely modernized;
integrated modern high-tech equipment inside the landing compartment;
The armored personnel carrier was additionally equipped with protective grilles (anti-drone "braziers") to protect against strikes by enemy FPV drones and drops.
"Mercury" is designed to operate in the first line of defense and during offensive operations. Moving with assault groups, the complex is capable of jamming radio networks and drone control channels directly on the move.
"It is aimed at introducing disorientation into the enemy's communication system. Suppressing their communication systems so that it is impossible to transmit important information to headquarters," explained Yaroslav Kalinin.
The presentation of Mercury took place during the official ceremony of signing a cooperation agreement between Infozahyst and German defense giant Rohde & Schwarz. The companies will jointly develop and improve electronic warfare systems.
The Ukrainian company "Infozahyst" presented for the first time at the miltech exhibition in Estonia the unique RTR complex "Archont". Here is what makes it special
