In its new semi-annual presentation, Bybit introduced expansions into TradFi, stock trading, pre-IPO market access, payments, and intelligent financial instruments.
Bybit co-founder and CEO Ben Zhou presented a new stage in the company's transformation from a cryptocurrency trading platform to a new financial platform , and also talked about new products and partnerships in traditional and digital markets.
The update was presented during the semi-annual “Online Meeting with Ben” called Make Your Move , where Ben Zhou spoke about the convergence of financial markets and Bybit’s approach to developing in the face of these changes. This time, the speech went beyond the usual studio format and took place live in front of an audience. Together with invited experts, Ben discussed the transformation of the financial sector, new technologies and products that are defining the next stage of Bybit’s development.
Four years of TradFi development: stock trading is now available, mStocks is coming soon
Four years after entering the traditional finance market with contracts for difference (CFDs), Bybit became the largest crypto CFD trading platform in 2022, with peak trading volume reaching $100 billion.
On October 12, the company took the next step in traditional markets by launching stock trading for eligible users. They now have access to over 1,000 US stocks and ETFs. Trading is done in USDC, fractional shares are supported, and it is available 24/5 with access to premarket, main trading session, and after-hours trading in the US.
Bybit is also developing mStocks with Mantle, which is scheduled to launch in November. This tokenized stock-based product will be backed by real-world shares at a 1:1 ratio. It is planned to support 24/7 conversion between the relevant shares and mStocks on Bybit, as well as trading on decentralized exchanges via automated market maker (AMM) liquidity pools on the Mantle network.
It is expected that the converted mStocks will also be able to be transferred to Bybit’s Unified Trading Account (UTA) and used as trading collateral in accordance with applicable terms.
In June, Bybit launched IPO Express, giving eligible users access to select IPOs at the offering price through tokenized representations of the underlying securities. The first asset on the service was SpaceX. IPO Express is designed to expand Bybit users’ options beyond the secondary market and open up access to select primary market opportunities.
The new services expand Bybit’s presence in the perpetual, premarket, forex and options segments. Today, Bybit’s TradFi portfolio includes over 600 products covering stocks, ETFs, indices, commodities and currency pairs.
TradFi perpetual contracts trading volume has exceeded $180 billion. Recent launches include currency perpetual contracts and options on perpetual contracts — the industry’s first options product built on TradFi perpetual contracts.
Bybit also continues to develop new perpetual products related to AI computing infrastructure and commodities, expanding the choice of instruments beyond the traditional cryptocurrency market.
Expansion of the payments platform
In addition to trading and investing, Bybit is expanding its payment infrastructure to provide users with more options for managing their funds.
Bybit Pay and Bybit Card support cryptocurrency and fiat currency transfers, merchant payments, and everyday purchases. Today, the Bybit payment ecosystem connects users with over 5,000 merchants in over 15 countries, and also supports transfers to bank accounts and e-wallets, QR payments, and other payment services.
Bybit has already issued over 4 million Bybit cards, expanding the platform’s capabilities beyond financial markets to everyday payments and spending.
Security and regulatory infrastructure
The expansion of the platform is accompanied by investments in security, compliance, and technological infrastructure.
In the first half of 2026, Bybit intercepted over 30,000 suspicious withdrawal requests, preventing over $700 million in potential user losses.
Bybit also received five new licenses and regulatory approvals in the European Union, the Cayman Islands, Indonesia, South Africa, and El Salvador during 2026. These regulatory achievements support the company’s continued expansion into various markets in line with local requirements.
In September, the company launched Bybit AI, an AI assistant for trading, account management, and user support. Bybit plans to further develop this product as part of the platform’s broader financial services ecosystem.
“Bybit is all about giving users the speed and scale they need to make their move. We’ve brought together trading, investing, payments and AI, and we’re continuing to add new markets and new ways to interact with them. We’ve built the platform. Now, our mission is to give people the financial freedom to make their own choices and take action,” said Ben Zhou, co-founder and CEO of Bybit.
Outside the crypto platform
Four years after entering TradFi, Bybit brings together cryptocurrency markets, stocks and ETFs, derivatives, commodities, forex, access to select pre-IPO opportunities, payments, and AI-powered services within a single ecosystem.
The company is focused on bringing these capabilities together on a single platform, while continuing to expand its market reach, product line, and supporting infrastructure.
For Bybit, the development of a new financial platform marks the next stage of transformation — going beyond the cryptocurrency market and expanding the company's role in the global financial system.
