Ukrainian logtech AI company Cargofy raises $6 million to develop digital AI workers in logistics

Logtech AI company Cargofy, which creates «digital workers» to automate freight transportation, announced the closing of a Series A round of $11 million, of which $6 million is primary investment and another $5 million is secondaries.

The round was led by u.ventures, Toloka and Movens Capital, with participation from Intercom co-founder Des Traynor and other angel investors.

A Polish investor helped Cargofy acquire several enterprise customers in Poland before the round officially closed. One of the company’s early investors fully exited the project in a secondary deal, receiving over 50x on its initial investment.

Cargofy develops AI agents that replicate the workflows of logistics teams without the need to change the company’s operational processes. The platform integrates with over 70 tools — TMS, ERP, load boards, carrier compliance systems and all communication channels used by the team. AI agents can correspond with carriers, process documents, send follow-up messages and coordinate dispatch 24/7 in multiple languages and across multiple markets.

Cargofy’s AI solutions are already showing concrete results: a single dispatcher can coordinate a fleet ten times larger than usual; a fleet of 315 trucks saves about $83,000 per month, and one US client has reduced logistics costs by more than $5 million per year.

«We are not creating logistics software — we are building an AI infrastructure where companies can „hire“ digital employees for their operations. One person can now do the work of ten, and revenue per employee is increasing. This is how we see the future of this industry,» — Stach Wozniak, CEO and founder of Cargofy.

The company will direct the raised funds into three areas:

  • Scaling local teams (hubs). Today, Cargofy operates in Houston (USA), Warsaw and Kyiv (Ukraine, Poland, Romania, Bulgaria), as well as Baku (Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Georgia and Turkey). New hubs will appear in Germany, the Netherlands, France, Spain, as well as in new regions of the USA — Midwest, East Coast and West Coast. The company also receives inbound demand from Brazil, Mexico and the Middle East, despite the lack of marketing activity in these regions, and plans to enter these markets.
  • Expanding the international team. Currently, about 10% of Cargofy employees are non-Ukrainian. The company plans to increase this figure to 40%.
  • Deepening the capabilities of AI agents. Investments in R&D will allow AI agents to perform a wider range of tasks, from communicating with customers and processing orders to fully supporting internal operations, including invoicing, document verification, and carrier coordination.

«Their key advantage is the combination of strong AI expertise with a deep understanding of the needs and processes of shippers, carriers, and 3PL providers. This is what allows them to create the most effective AI products for this market, while most other AI startups develop universal solutions without taking into account the important nuances of the logistics industry,» notes Bogdan Svirydov, Investment Director at Horizon Capital and Director of Venture Investments at u.ventures.

Cargofy works with shippers, carriers, and 3PL companies at all stages of the logistics chain: from customer service to internal operational processes. The company’s clients include SuuS, Nova Group, Kaspi, Zammler, Metinvest, and Vista.

Reference

Cargofy is an AI platform that creates digital workers for logistics companies in Europe, the US and the Caspian region. The company started developing AI solutions for logistics earlier than most competitors — it worked for years inside the operational processes of freight transportation and accumulated large amounts of its own data. In 2023, Cargofy changed its focus to AI agents trained on this data. Since then, the company has reached over $10 million in annual revenue and 2,000 paying customers. Previously

raised $2.5 million in seed investment from JKR Investment Group and Flyer One Ventures.
