As Babenko said in an interview with Liga.net, the negotiations ultimately ended in nothing, although at that time he was considering the scenario of selling the company.
«There was an offer from Eric Schmidt for $25 million. We were going through tough times then, and we even thought about it. But it never came to anything,» he stated.
In his opinion, Vyriy is now worth many times more.
«From two to five billion dollars. I understand well what profit we will have this year and next. The company is worth a sum, and the value of the company is profit multiplied by a coefficient greater than one. European arms budgets are 200 times larger than in Ukraine. Accordingly, the potential of Ukrainian military technology is huge,» Babenko expressed his opinion.
In addition, comparing the total turnover of Vyriy for 2025, when it was UAH 10 billion, and now, Babenko noted that he expects much better results this year.
«In these six months, we have already had more than UAH 10 billion. We expect a much larger turnover than in 2025,» said Oleksiy Babenko.
Babenko also commented on how Vyriy intends to provide high returns for investors of its financial instrument, which the company launched together with the Inzhur MilTech fund.
«We can give such a large percentage because we have short cycles. For example, a person gave us 1,000 UAH. With them, we buy motors in China or Ukraine, manufacture a drone from them, deliver and receive payment. We return these funds to circulation again. In a year, we can do this from 1,000 UAH five to ten times. And we will get a good profit. Accordingly, returning 25% will not be a problem,» he explained.
As dev.ua wrote, more than 12,000 Ukrainians bought Inzhur MilTech certificates with Vyriy Industries corporate bonds in the first day, investing UAH 500 million.
