The Kyiv District Administrative Court has opened a case on the lawsuit of the Ukrainian drone manufacturer General Chereshnya against the Defense Procurement Agency (DPA). The company is challenging the method and procedure for conducting a tender for the supply of fiber-optic drones.
This is reported by Forbes Ukraine with reference to the relevant court ruling and an appendix to the tender documentation. According to the publication, the purchase involves the supply of about 275,000 fiber-optic FPV drones.
In its statement of claim, General Chereshnya emphasizes that the subject of the purchase is weapons, the cost of which is «calculated in billions of hryvnias of budget funds.» The manufacturer disagrees with the conditions and mechanism that AOZ applies when selecting suppliers for such a large-scale batch.
In response, the company stated that the AOZ procedures carry corruption risks and are tailored to a specific market player, since the procurement is carried out outside the Prozorro module and in a manner not provided for by law.
