This is stated in the resolution of the Mizhhirsky District Court of Zakarpattia Oblast dated November 25.
«In the course of verification measures, it was established that the individuals could not explain the clear purpose of arriving in the controlled border area and later admitted that they intended to illegally cross the state border from Ukraine to Romania in connection with evading mobilization and seeking better living conditions «, it is stated in the text of the resolution.
It also says that the detained programmer counted on the help of other people to cross the border, who demanded $8,000 for this «service».
It follows from the materials that at first the programmer and his friend got into the same car in Rivne, which took them to Ivano-Frankivsk, and there they simply transferred to a taxi to Solotvino. This was the end of their journey, when they, not having military registration documents and not being able to justify the purpose of their journey, were stopped at a checkpoint.
