"I am proud that Denmark is contributing to Ukraine's space defense. Space is an area that increasingly requires attention from defense policy. In close cooperation with the EU Defense Agency, Denmark has contributed to strengthening Ukraine's satellite communications in its defense against Russia. Space solutions have great potential that can contribute to the defense of Ukraine, Denmark and Europe," said Danish Defense Minister Troels Lund Poulsen.
The assistance includes access to receiving terminals that the Ukrainian military can use to connect to stable and secure satellite communications. The assistance is being provided at the request of Ukraine.
The defense agency expects more EU countries to follow suit and consider similar assistance that promotes technological strategic freedom of action in space for both Ukraine and Europe.
