Ukraine has tested the first advanced solution for detecting enemy drones, developed by Denmark’s largest defense company Terma A/S. This artificial intelligence technology is being integrated into the Ukrainian Horska interceptor drone from Odd Systems to significantly increase the detection range of Russian targets.
This was announced by the First Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine, Minister of Digital Transformation Mykhailo Fedorov.
Terma A/S is known worldwide as a manufacturer of over 80 components for the F-35 fighter jet. Its AI solution, integrated into the Gorska drone, is critical to strengthening the defense of Ukrainian skies.
The Brave1 cluster acted as an intermediary, providing testing of the innovation and direct feedback from Ukrainian military personnel with combat experience.
"This is absolutely unique access to the right type of data and feedback. We want to help Ukraine, but also learn. Therefore, it is very important when we receive feedback from people with combat experience," said an engineer from a Danish company.
The partners plan to conduct the next stage of testing after all comments and suggestions received from the military have been taken into account.
Earlier it became known that the Danish aerospace company Terma A/S opened its official representative office in Ukraine, which indicates long-term intentions for cooperation in the defense sector.
Odd Systems is known for its optoelectronic solutions for drones, in particular the Kurbas thermal imaging cameras, which allow the operator to change image settings in flight. The company has currently opened a number of vacancies in various areas.
