There are two types of such marking: some marks are obvious and easily visible to people, and others are hidden technical ones, built directly into the content, writes Gizmochina.
Visible markers can be text that says "AI-generated," audio ads, or graphics that appear somewhere in the content. Hidden markers are hidden in the technical data and contain details like the type of content, which company created it, and a unique identification number.
Users are prohibited from altering these tags in any way. They cannot remove, modify, forge, or attempt to hide them. DeepSeek has also banned any tools or services that help people forge tags. Users who violate these rules may face legal consequences.
These new requirements aren't just DeepSeek's idea. They're in line with new regulations from the Chinese government. Companies that provide these AI services are responsible for ensuring that everyone follows the rules.
