In April, a large domestic manufacturer of FPV drones, TAF Industries, failed to conclude a deal to acquire the developer of middlestrikes, Lastivka, whose name is not disclosed due to an NDA.
This was reported to Forbes by TAF Industries CEO Volodymyr Zinovsky.
«The product was interesting for scaling, could have a good impact on the battlefield,» Zinovsky claims, adding that the negotiations lasted about six months.
According to the company’s head, the deal was close to being signed, but at the last moment, a participant in these negotiations wanted to change the purchase price, without providing an updated price.
Currently, TAF Industries is resuming negotiations with other manufacturers of middlestrikes, and is also considering the possibility of producing middlestrikes independently, as the company wants to expand its product line and increase revenue from other products, not from FPV.
«The aircraft team has been strengthened and the head of this direction is ready to develop a middlestrike at a significantly lower cost than the amount of the agreement,» Zinovsky comments.
