Children under 13 are not allowed to ride in Elon Musk's Cybercab robotaxi, which calls for increasing the birth rate
The two-seater Tesla Cybercab driverless taxi turned out to be inaccessible to the youngest passengers. The autonomous novelty from the company of Elon Musk, who constantly emphasizes the threat of demographic collapse and urges people to have as many children as possible, has received restrictions — children under 13 are currently completely prohibited from entering the cabin of an autonomous car.

The autonomous novelty from the company of Elon Musk, who constantly emphasizes the threat of demographic collapse and urges people to have as many children as possible, has received restrictions — children under 13 are currently completely prohibited from entering the cabin of an autonomous car.
This is evidenced by data from the official Cybercab Compliance Guide document, in which the company disclosed key requirements for safety and passenger transportation.
According to the instructions, teenagers aged 13 to 18 will only be able to use robotaxi when accompanied by an adult. The Compliance Guide includes an extensive section on requirements for child car seats and boosters.
The manufacturer describes in detail the operation of the Occupant Classification System cabin radar to disable airbags, adjust ALR systems to fix belts, and comply with NHTSA recommendations. However, all these technical descriptions regarding the protection of infants and toddlers remain purely theoretical at this time.
In addition, the engineering solutions in the cabin space make the Cybercab unsuitable for family needs. The robotaxi lacks standard LATCH and ISOFIX mounts — the seats will have to be fixed only with a standard 3-point belt. The company also strictly forbade installing two child seats at the same time or placing them in the center.

Tesla unveiled the two-seater Cybercab at a private event in Austin, USA, as the basis for a future robo-taxi service. The car is designed to be fully autonomous and has no steering wheel or pedals. Despite announced plans to start public rides in select areas of Austin, the issues of regulatory approvals and the exact number of vehicles in the fleet are still open.
The car, which has been testing in several US cities in recent months, is considered a key element of Tesla’s plan to transform from an electric car maker into a leader in artificial intelligence products.
