A new Ukrainian strike unmanned aerial vehicle complex "SHOT-L1" has appeared on the Brave1 Market platform, designed to automatically search for and destroy enemy electronic warfare equipment at medium distances to pave the way for other drones.
Defendet Media reports on the appearance of a new development on the Brave1 Market marketplace. The name of the manufacturing company is not disclosed for security reasons.
Midstrike is capable of autonomously performing a flight mission. The operator directs the device to the area of the likely target location, after which the on-board system begins searching for radio emission sources in a defined square. The search is carried out in the L1 GPS band (1575 MHz).
When a radio signal is detected, the system determines its direction and automatically guides the drone to the target, and if there are several sources, it selects the most powerful one. If an active EW signal is absent for a specified time, the SHOT-L1 switches to a backup scenario and guides to a predetermined static ground target.
The drone has a cruising speed of up to 100 km/h, a flight duration of up to 60 minutes and a range of up to 80 km. The payload weight is 4 kg. The drone is equipped with a thermal imaging camera, an analog video signal and a guidance system. The complete complex includes a ground control point, a launcher, 10 UAVs and auxiliary equipment.
The main purpose of the SHOT-L1 is to neutralize sources of radio-electronic interference to create a temporary “window of opportunity” for other Ukrainian unmanned systems. Among the typical targets for destruction, the manufacturer indicates the Russian electronic warfare systems R-340RP “Field-21”, R-330Zh “Zhitel” and “Mgla”.
