The French company EOS Technologie has transferred to Ukraine several Rodeur 330 drones capable of performing reconnaissance and strike missions at long distances.
According to the manufacturer, the Rodeur 330 can stay in the air for up to five hours, reach speeds of around 120 km/h and operate at altitudes of up to 5,000 meters. The drone, France24 reports, can be used both for reconnaissance and as a loitering munition (kamikaze).
The drone is launched into the sky by a catapult and can stay in the air for up to 5 hours. The drone has a claimed payload of 4 kg and a range of up to 500 km, with a wingspan of 3.3 m.
EOS Technologie notes that cooperation with Ukraine allows Western manufacturers to test unmanned solutions in real combat conditions and promptly improve technologies.
EOS Technologie President Jean-Marc Zouliani also reported that in June 2025, Ukraine received another French loitering munition — the MV-25 OSKA. According to him, the combat experience of the Armed Forces of Ukraine plays a key role in the development of European drone platforms.
In parallel, the United Kingdom is studying Ukrainian experience in countering UAVs — both in a military context and for civilian security, in particular to combat smuggling in prisons.
Minister Delegate to the Minister of the Armed Forces of FranceAlice Rufo announced her intention to deepen cooperation with Ukraine in the field of unmanned systems, robotics, and the application of artificial intelligence. «In the field of drones, their application, and the integration of AI, Ukraine is today an example for Europe and the world,» Rufo emphasized.
She also added that European countries are considering participating in the creation of a future platform to protect Ukrainian skies, with possible components including Rafale fighters and new-generation air defense systems.
