The Glovo delivery service app has new features for users in Ukraine. Now you can add friends, exchange recommendations, and create personal lists of favorite orders.
The company notes that this functionality was inspired by the interaction capabilities of social networks users. To simplify the selection of dishes and the search for restaurants, Glovo launched the Glovo Next update, which offers users to add friends, share recommendations with them, and create thematic lists of favorite restaurants and dishes for different occasions.
«Glovo Next helps users make decisions. People are more willing to trust recommendations from friends, so the ability to see their activity in the application simplifies the selection process. You see what restaurants and dishes your friends choose, so it’s easier to decide to open new establishments for yourself», — commented Maryna Pavlyuk, CEO of Glovo in Ukraine.

The press release states that the Glovo app now offers a «shared experience» that allows users to share recommendations. The new features will help users learn about new places based on their friends’ experiences. In addition, users can use the Picks feature not only to like familiar restaurants, but also to add to their lists what they want to try in the near future or repeat orders without wasting time searching for a place in the app.
Lists allow you to group establishments by occasion or around any other event, dish, or location: «Best lunches for the office,» «Dinner with friends,» «Authentic Italian pizza.»

Glovo has announced its biggest app update since October 2024. The new features were unveiled at the Glovo Next event at its headquarters in Barcelona. The company plans to update Glovo Next annually going forward.
After several months of testing in Spain, the updates became available to all Glovo users in 23 countries and over 1,500 cities. The first Ukrainian users gained access to the new features of the updated Glovo application last fall. This was told to dev.ua journalist during Forbes Tech 2024 by Maryna Pavlyuk, CEO of Glovo in Ukraine.
Last year, Glovo reported that, together with partners, they helped create 444 million euros of added value for the Ukrainian economy in 2023. The company also said that since the beginning of 2024, the number of application users has increased by almost 20%, and the number of orders in October 2024 increased by 11% compared to last year.
