Ukrainian manufacturer of UGV TENCORE is acquiring other developers to create a single ecosystem of robotic complexes
TENCORE, a Ukrainian developer of ground robotic systems (GRS), has announced the launch of an ecosystem of solutions that includes the company’s products and developments from other manufacturers. TENCORE, a Ukrainian developer of ground robotic systems (GRS), has announced the launch of an ecosystem of solutions that includes the company’s products and developments from other manufacturers. In particular, we are talking about the heavy wheeled drone of the TOR project and the MAT1LDA amphibian from NODRICS.
This was announced by TENCORE co-founder and CEO Maksym Vasylchenko in an interview with Defender Media. According to him, the company is acquiring other manufacturers or shares in them in order to integrate their products into the TENCORE Ecosystem and provide customers with ready-made complexes from a single source.
"Our strategy is to be No. 1 at least in Europe in everything related to the ground domain. We strive to cover all customer needs for robotic solutions on the ground in the defense and dual-purpose sectors," Vasylchenko noted.
The TOR heavy IRC and MAT1LDA amphibious teams, as well as the company’s own developments, TerMIT and TRAX, have already been added to the ecosystem. This brings the line up to include tracked and wheeled IRCs, an amphibian, and a firefighting drone.
The company notes that the main goal of the merger is unification. All products in the ecosystem will have the same connectors, batteries, and communication modules, which should solve the problem of a "technological zoo" in the military.
TENCORE does not disclose the details of the deals, but notes that they are financed using a hybrid model. Current purchases are covered by the company’s own funds, but for further expansion, it is planned to attract investments. TENCORE will not necessarily buy out 100% of the participating companies, but it reserves the preemptive right to purchase shares.
TENCORE’s current capacity allows it to produce 500 NRCs per month. According to the company’s CEO, scaling up production to 1,000 or more units is possible in 4–5 months due to the long logistics and component procurement cycle, which takes from three to four months.
