According to Android Authority, the solution is designed to help users transition from ChatGPT, Claude, or Microsoft Copilot to the Google ecosystem.
The solution will allow users to download chats from an AI chatbot and import them into Gemini using the appropriate option. The process will have detailed instructions from Google. It is currently unknown which chatbots will be supported by this feature, or the formats in which chats need to be exported and then imported.
Google is also reportedly testing improved quality for images created with Gemini, with 2K and 4K resolutions being labeled as «Best for Sharing» and «Best for Printing.»
Another feature in development is called Likeness. It’s unclear what exactly it will do, but it ties into the existing Gemini feature, which lets you check if a video was generated by AI.
YouTube already offers users a similar tool that identifies videos that use their face or voice and requires them to be removed. Perhaps Gemini could extend similar functionality to users, notifying them if a video created with Gemini uses their appearance.
Recall that the Chrome browser will receive closer integration with Gemini 3. The new features should help you work with tabs faster, edit images directly on the page, and delegate some routine actions.
