The prosecutor's office has announced charges against a former lecturer at one of the Kharkiv universities, who for almost two years transferred technical materials to the Russians for the creation of UAVs, in particular "Geran" drones.
According to the Prosecutor General's Office, from October 2022 to August 2024, the Kharkiv resident developed and transferred technical materials that could be used by the Russian Federation to create attack UAVs.
According to the investigation, this involves the systematic preparation and transfer to the Russian Federation of pre-design proposals, drawings and scientific reports with technical calculations of engines and launch systems.
The expert examination confirmed that these materials have military purposes and can be used for the development, testing and production of combat drones. The transfer of such technologies, according to experts, could harm Ukraine's defense capabilities.
The accused was detained in October 2024. During the investigation, electronic media with correspondence and evidence of sending technical materials to Russian employees involved in the production of drones were seized.
His actions were qualified under Part 2 of Article 28, Part 1 of Article 111-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine - aiding and abetting an aggressor state, committed by a group of persons in prior conspiracy.
The man stated in court that he did not admit guilt.
