Ukrainian DevDroid has released electric triggers for remote control of fire on combat robots and infantry fighting vehicles

Ukrainian defense technology company DevDroid has launched electric triggers, components needed for remote control of weapons. The solution is designed to operate automatic weapons without delays in ground robotic complexes (GRCs), armored vehicles, and stationary combat modules.

The company reported on the scaling of production and the release of the product to dev.ua.

In their electric triggers, DevDroid developers focused on eliminating mechanism failures during intensive shooting. The main attention was paid to the stability of the mechanical drive under load and simplifying installation. Now installing the electric trigger takes a few minutes and does not require changes to the weapon design, which allows machine guns to be adapted for use in remotely controlled systems.

Electric triggers are used in remote fire control systems, in particular:

  • ground robotic complexes (GRC);

  • infantry fighting vehicles (IFVs);

  • armored personnel carriers (APCs);

  • armored fighting vehicles (ABM);

  • stationary combat modules;

  • anti-aircraft turrets.

In the fire control circuit, the electric trigger is responsible for the physical pressing. The task performance and platform integrity depend on its operation. The DevDroid system is compatible with common weapons: Browning M2 heavy machine guns (modifications M2HB, M2A1), Canik M2HB QCB and FN M2HB QCB. Integration with automatic grenade launchers Mk-19, AGL-53 and RDS-40 is also possible.

«With the development of the NRC segment and combat modules, the need for standardized components that can be quickly replaced is growing. Electric triggers are a basic element of this infrastructure. We have created a mechanism that works predictably at different temperatures and under prolonged load, ensuring the operation of automation in combat conditions,» said DevDroid CEO Yuriy Poritsky.

In addition to robotic platforms, these descents are used to modernize infantry fighting vehicles, armored personnel carriers, and anti-aircraft turrets, which allows semi-automatic systems to be created on their basis.

Earlier, Yuriy Poritsky spoke about the DevDroid AI system, which consists of three cameras and artificial intelligence technologies. It helps military personnel operating ground robotic complexes detect enemies.
