A representative of the manufacturing company told Defender Media about this. According to him, the equipment has already successfully crossed the state border of Ukraine.
This is a precedent for the domestic defense-industrial complex. Previously, similar export decisions were made exclusively for individual technologies, drawings or components, but not for finished weapons of this type.
The company notes that it received permission even before new government decisions on simplifying the export of military products under martial law came into force. F-Drones went through a full cycle of approvals according to the classic procedure and received approval from the interdepartmental commission on export control. The export procedure was accompanied by the state-owned company «Spetstechnoexport».
«The permit is working — the drones have already crossed the state border,» a representative of the manufacturer confirmed.
The Ukrainian developer’s entry into the US market was made possible by the US Department of Defense’s Drone Dominance program. This is a $1 billion initiative aimed at accelerating the development of the industrial base and rapidly providing combat units with inexpensive drones on a large scale. In the first phase of the program, UDD took sixth place, competing against the battle-proven F10 platform, and received a government contract for the supply of 2,000 FPV drones.
It was previously reported that Ukrainian Defense Drones (UDD), which is the American representative office of the Ukrainian manufacturer F-Drones, is opening its first major assembly and production center in the United States.
