The Center for Countering Disinformation has recorded the spread of a phishing scheme aimed at stealing Ukrainians' Telegram accounts.
The attackers are speculating on the topic of honoring the memory of fallen soldiers. In private messages and chats, they are spreading calls to sign a petition, forwarding a post from the closed channel "Electronic Petitions".
"The link in the message does not lead to the official page of petitions to the President of Ukraine, but to a fake website that visually imitates the Telegram interface. To "sign the petition," the user is required to authorize and enter their phone number and confirmation code. As soon as a person performs these actions, scammers will be able to access their account," the Center for Countering Disinformation explains .

The Center reminded that you can vote for the petition to the President of Ukraine exclusively on the official portal. No third-party sites, Telegram channels, or chatbots have any connection to signature collection and cannot be used for vote verification.
"If you receive such a message from someone you know, do not click on the link, as their account has probably already been hacked by attackers," the Center for Countering Disinformation added.
