The second online tournament of the Fight & Flight FPV racing series took place on September 5 in the Ukrainian Fight Drone Simulator: Starter Edition. More than 170 pilots registered to participate in the competition, and the prize fund amounted to almost UAH 100,000.
The second online tournament of the Fight & Flight FPV racing series took place on September 5 in the Ukrainian Fight Drone Simulator: Starter Edition. More than 170 pilots registered to participate in the competition, and the prize fund amounted to almost UAH 100,000.
The series is organized by the Drone Fight Group and the Victory Drones project. The project aims to unite the Ukrainian FPV pilot community, develop the domestic FPV discipline, and help participants improve their drone control skills through regular simulation competitions.
For the second stage of Fight & Flight, the development team prepared a new track that combined classic racing with elements of real combat use. Participants controlled virtual bombers Angel Arrow 15 from the Ukrainian manufacturer Bat Drones. While completing the route, the pilots had to not only overcome obstacles, but also shoot back at opponents, hit enemy equipment and shoot down Russian «eagles».
During the qualification, live broadcasts with the organizers and invited guests, including a representative of the 1st recruiting center, were held on the UFDS YouTube channel. In the future, they plan to involve experienced FPV pilots in the broadcasts, who will share their practical experience. The final of the competition was broadcast on the Victory Drones channel.
In total, the materials about the race and the tournament on social networks collected over 150,000 views. The event was supported by Ukrainian technology companies and MilTech initiatives, including Bat Drones, PG Robotics, General Chereshnya, FPVUA, Motor G, and E-Dron.
Recall that in June, the Ukrainian military flight simulator Ukrainian Fight Drone Simulator (UFDS) received a large-scale update, the main feature of which was the launch of a multiplayer mode.
