Design platform Figma announced today that it has acquired Tel Aviv-based AI-powered image and video generation startup Weavy. It will join the US company under a new brand, Figma Weave.
Weavy was founded in 2024. In June, it raised $4 million in investment from Entrée Capital, Designer Fund, Founder Collective, and Fiverr founder Micha Kaufman, TechCrunch writes .
Figma did not disclose the amount of the deal, but the company noted that 20 people from Weavy will join them.
For now, Weavy will exist as a standalone product, but in the future it will be integrated into the Figma Weave brand along with the rest of the platform.

Weavy’s web tools allow users to combine different AI models and offer them professional editing tools to create high-quality images and videos that can be used in product mockups or branding. Users can edit this generated content: make changes to layers, adjust lighting, change colors and angles, using text queries to get the desired result.
The startup offers various models such as Seedance, Sora, and Veo for video, as well as Flux, Ideogram, Nano-Banana, and Seedream for image creation.
