Finland joins countries helping to strengthen Ukraine's cybersecurity
The Ministry of Digital Transformation announced that Finland has joined the Tallinn Mechanism, an international initiative that helps Ukraine strengthen its cyber resilience and digital security.

«Finland’s joining the Tallinn Mechanism is a logical continuation of cooperation and a significant contribution to joint cyber resilience. I am grateful to the Finnish partners for their consistent and systematic support, which helps Ukraine become stronger in the face of a full-scale war,» commented the event on the occasion of the event. The Tallinn Mechanism was established in 2023 as an international initiative that coordinates assistance in strengthening Ukraine’s cyber resilience. It has already implemented dozens of projects to strengthen Ukraine’s cyber resilience.
The following countries have already joined the initiative: Great Britain, Denmark, Estonia, Italy, Canada, the Netherlands, Germany, Norway, Poland, the USA, France and Sweden. The European Union, NATO and the World Bank participate as official observers. The Tallinn Mechanism Project Office operates in Kyiv and coordinates the implementation of activities and promotes enhanced cooperation between Ukrainian institutions and international partners.
It is noted that Finland’s participation in the initiative will strengthen international cooperation in countering cyber threats and open up new opportunities for the exchange of technological solutions and experience.
«Finland joins a community of like-minded people who are helping to strengthen Ukraine’s cyber defense and resilience, while strengthening its own role as a reliable player in international cyber diplomacy,» said Elina Valtonen, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Finland.
In addition, Finland’s participation in the Tallinn Mechanism opens up new opportunities for cooperation between Finnish technology companies and Ukrainian partners.
«Through the Tallinn Mechanism, Finland not only supports Ukraine’s digital resilience, but also creates opportunities for Finnish cybersecurity companies to share experience and participate in joint projects,» added Ville Tavio, Minister of Foreign Trade and Development of Finland.
