According to the chief designer, the level of use of domestic components in the FP-1 and FP-2 drones already exceeds 90%. The company manufactures cameras and antennas independently, and in the FP-5 model, only one element of foreign production remains.
The only thing Fire Point continues to buy on the open market for now is flight controllers, as it is more cost-effective. However, the engineers already have their own fully-fledged board and can switch production to it at any time.
The company's next technological step is to create its own FP-7 and FP-9 missiles. In particular, the FP-7 model is designed as an aerodynamic analogue of the missile for the Russian S-400 anti-aircraft system.
Since Ukrainian engineers do not yet have an integrated homing head, they have adapted this airframe for strike missions. Thanks to the large control surfaces typical of anti-aircraft missiles, the FP-7 will be used as an extremely maneuverable ballistic missile for attacking ground targets.
Almost everything in the new FP-7 and FP-9 ballistic missiles will be Ukrainian. Fire Point emphasizes that they have achieved almost a full cycle of closed production. The company independently manufactures backlash-free servos and flight controllers, and specialists fill the solid rocket fuel themselves.
Previously, Denis Shtilerman supported the idea of opening the export of Ukrainian weapons.
