Frontline Robotics and Dropla will create a combat robot with a turret "Buria" and teach AI to search for drones in ambushes

Ukrainian robotics developer Frontline Robotics and Danish-Ukrainian defense tech company Dropla have signed a memorandum of understanding to integrate the domestically developed Burya turret into the Logist ground logistics platform, and join forces to create AI solutions that will detect enemy threats in real time.

The companies announced the signing of the memorandum during the largest European defense exhibition, Eurosatory 2026, which is currently taking place in Paris. The joint work will combine Ukrainian engineering expertise and Danish industrial capabilities to create a new class of ground combat platforms.

The combination of the Logist logistics robot from Dropla and the Burya turret from Frontline Robotics will transform a transport platform into a mobile firing point. Both solutions already have combat experience and were developed taking into account the realities of a full-scale confrontation with the Russian Federation.

«The future of robotic systems is not individual products, but integrated ecosystems. By combining our expertise, we are creating a modular robotic capability that can support logistics, fire support, and semi-autonomous missions. Such partnerships allow us to more quickly create comprehensive solutions that meet the needs of the front,» said Mykyta Rozhkov, Business Development Director (CBDO) of Frontline Robotics.

In addition to creating a ground combat robot, the companies plan to introduce artificial intelligence into aerial reconnaissance. Dropla is integrating its proprietary Blue Eyes hardware and software into Frontline Robotics' Linza and Zoom reconnaissance drones. The system recognizes camouflaged objects and small threats.

«Today, one of the most pressing problems on the front line is the detection of drones-waiters lurking in ambush near logistics routes. Dropla was the first in Ukraine to codify the software-hardware complex with artificial intelligence Blue Eyes („Blue Eyes“). For more than two years, we have been training our models to detect small threats. In partnership with Frontline Robotics, we plan to connect Blue Eyes to the control consoles of Linza and Zoom drones, providing operators with new capabilities — instant detection of small ground and air threats,» explains Dropla founder and CEO Vyacheslav Shvaydak.

In the future, they plan to adapt Blue Eyes computer vision technology for the needs of humanitarian demining and military engineering operations.

Frontline Robotics is known for its products for the Ukrainian Defense Forces, including the Linza drone bomber and the Zoom reconnaissance drone. Their Burya remote-controlled turret uses automatic ballistics calculation and allows for close-in fire with grenade launchers or the Browning M2 machine gun.

Dropla Tech ApS is a joint Danish-Ukrainian venture specializing in autonomous platforms, AI battlefield analytics, and producing LOGIST 6×6 all-wheel drive wheelless all-terrain vehicles for delivering cargo in high-risk areas.
