Ukrainian Frontline Robotics and Estonian Milrem Robotics will create anti-drone robotic complexes

Ukrainian defense tech company Frontline Robotics and Estonian giant Milrem Robotics signed a memorandum of understanding to expand their partnership at the Eurosatory 2026 international exhibition in Paris. The new phase of cooperation focuses on integrating counter-drone capabilities into robotic platforms and jointly entering the markets of Europe, the Middle East, and South Asia.

This was reported to dev.ua by the press service of the Ukrainian company.

The current agreement builds on the already proven partnership experience — previously the developers successfully integrated the Ukrainian Buria remotely controlled turret into the Estonian THeMIS unmanned platform. Now the companies are scaling up the cooperation to address the vulnerability of ground equipment to FPV drones.

Within the framework of the memorandum, the partners will create mobile robotic complexes equipped with electronic warfare and reconnaissance (EW/RER) systems from Frontline Robotics, which will protect ground platforms directly during missions.

«FPV drones have long ceased to be an exclusively Ukrainian challenge. With the spread of this threat worldwide, it is extremely important to use the experience gained during the war in Ukraine. Together with Milrem Robotics, we are combining Ukrainian counter-drone technologies with a leading robotic platform to create mobile solutions for modern armies,» said Mykyta Rozhkov, CBDO Frontline Robotics.

The Estonian company emphasizes that the integration of Ukrainian solutions will significantly increase the survivability of Western autonomous equipment in conditions of high-intensity conflicts.

«The war in Ukraine has demonstrated the need for mobile and adaptive counter-drone solutions that can respond to ever-changing threats. Frontline Robotics has developed highly relevant technologies. By combining Ukrainian defense technology development experience with our expertise in autonomous systems, we can accelerate the creation of solutions for the modern military,» commented Paul Clayton, Director of Industrial Partnerships at Milrem Robotics.

In addition to testing and applying technologies in Ukraine, the companies plan to jointly promote integrated platforms in the global defense market.

Earlier, Ukrainian robotic systems developer Frontline Robotics and Danish-Ukrainian defense tech company Dropla signed a memorandum of partnership. The companies will integrate the domestic codified turret «Burya» into the Logist ground logistics platform, and will also join forces to create AI solutions that will detect threats in real time.
