The Mudr1k account on the FACEIT platform, which likely belongs to football player Mykhailo Mudryk, was banned for 28 days for «toxicity» after this account, while playing Counter-Strike 2, spread reminders to Poles about the so-called «Volyn massacre.»
According to the sports publication Tribuna.com, one of the Polish CS2 players posted screenshots on social media of Mudryk allegedly mentioning the «Volyn massacre» in his conversation with Poles. All this happened during a skirmish in the game’s chat involving the account Mudr1k.
The publication concludes that the account likely belongs to the football player based on several factors — the profile information indicates the United Kingdom, where Mudryk lives, and his friends include accounts of other famous Ukrainian football players. In addition, Mykhailo Mudryk himself previously shared highlights from CS2 games, where the account Mudr1k was listed.
In a comment to Tribuna.com, Mudryk thanked the part of the Polish people that supports the Ukrainians, but noted that during the game he often encounters aggressive remarks and provocations from Poles.
«I constantly hear and see how some Poles treat Ukrainians, especially those who currently live in Poland. I feel it even in small things, for example, when I play CS. It is almost impossible to win a game with them, because as soon as you try to communicate normally for the sake of team play, and they find out that you are from Ukraine, outright disrespect begins,» the football player said.
Mudryk also shared that Poles in the chat repeatedly called his friends names, and also wrote «glory to Russia», trying to offend and provoke Ukrainians.
