The collaboration will focus on high-performance computing, software-defined vehicle platforms, Forbes reports, citing a GlobalLogic press release. This should accelerate the creation and commercialization of automotive software, making it cheaper for automakers.
GlobalLogic’s Ukrainian team, which has about 6,000 employees, will participate in the development of this software. It works on SDV solutions, applying expertise in cybersecurity and high-performance computing.
Previously, GlobalLogic Ukraine engineers created the SDV Cloud Framework test platform for the Japanese company Hitachi Astemo, which is equally owned by Hitachi and Honda Motor.
Recall that Hitachi Global Digital Holdings Corporation (a division of Hitachi Group) completed the acquisition of IT company GlobalLogic in 2021. The transaction amount was $9.6 billion.
