As Google writes in its blog, Live in Search is becoming available in all countries and languages where AI mode works, including Ukraine. Thanks to this, users will be able to not only enter a text query, but also communicate with search by voice, receive audio answers and continue the conversation with clarifying questions. The company says that the launch covers more than 200 countries and territories.
The new feature is available in the Google app on Android and iOS. To enable it, you need to tap the Live icon below the search bar. After that, the user can speak a query and get a live response, as well as go to web pages if they want to delve deeper into the topic.
A separate use case is related to the camera. If a person needs to ask about an object or situation in front of them, they can add visual context, and the search will analyze not only words, but also images from the camera. Google gives an example with a household task like installing a new shelf, when the service should suggest a solution by seeing the object itself. The same option works through "Google Lens", where a Live button appears at the bottom of the screen for a live dialogue about what the user sees around them.
Technically, this extension is built on the Gemini 3.1 Flash Live model. Google claims that it provides a more natural voice interaction and was originally created as multilingual so that users could communicate with search in a language convenient for them.
Google has been actively adding AI-based features to Search in recent months, gradually transforming it from a list of links to an assistant that can support conversations, see objects through the camera, and help with everyday tasks in real time. The launch of Live in Ukraine means that the company is starting to bring these capabilities not only to large English-speaking markets, but also to local ones.
Previously, dev.ua wrote about how Google announced the release of Lyria 3 Pro , a music generation model. This happened just a month after the release of the main version of Lyria 3. The new model will allow users to create tracks up to three minutes long, unlike the 30-second compositions offered by the previous version.
