The World Economic Forum, in partnership with two GovTech centers — GGTC Berlin and GGTC Kyiv — has initiated the creation of an international analytical platform — GovTech Intelligence Hub. It will unite knowledge, experience, and analytics in the field of digital transformation of the public sector.
«GovTech Intelligence Hub serves as a space for the exchange of ideas, research, practical cases and authored columns by digital leaders from around the world. The platform provides a holistic view of how technology is transforming public services — from strategy formation to implementation at the national and regional levels,» the project’s press release notes.
It is noted that this initiative logically continues the development of the global GovTech direction and focuses on the accumulation and dissemination of expertise in the field of digital governance.
«We are proud to be among the first participants of the platform, not only because our solutions are tested in crisis conditions — first by the COVID-19 pandemic, and later by a full-scale invasion, but also because we believe in collaboration and reliable partnerships. GovTech has the power to overcome borders — it can be scaled, adapted and implemented worldwide, especially in times of testing, when the resilience of state infrastructure is critically important,» commented Valeria Ionan, Deputy Minister of Digital Transformation for European Integration.
The following are already published on the Hub:
columns from digital ministers and transformation leaders from around the world;
analytical materials, research and international expertise in the field of innovation, policies and technology implementation;
examples of effective digital solutions in public governance — from municipal to national levels.
Ukraine actively participated in the launch of the platform: GGTC Kyiv is a co-initiator and partner of the project. Among the first publications are cases of Ukrainian digital solutions («Action» and ecosystem projects, eHealth, uResidency, etc.). The platform will also feature columns, articles, and analytics from other digital leaders of Ukraine.
It is noted that the GovTech Intelligence Hub is an open platform that can be joined by anyone who has practical experience implementing technological solutions in the public sector.
Recall that in December last year, the Global Government Technology Center, which is part of the World Economic Forum’s network of C4IR (Fourth Industrial Revolution) centers, officially launched.
«The task of our center is to collect the best local expertise in the field of GovTech and make it available to the whole world,» said Zoya Lytvyn, head of GGTC Kyiv, in early March during the GovTech Meetup event, which dev.ua attended.
CEO of Strimco: «There is no competition in the govtech market with dozens of companies fighting for every cent. Rather, you, as a customer, need to persuade a normal company to apply for the tender.»
