Musk's AI company xAI has added a memory feature to Grok. A similar feature is already available in ChatGPT and Gemini, which allows users to save old conversations for future reference.
Musk's AI company xAI has added a memory feature to Grok. A similar feature is already available in ChatGPT and Gemini, which allows users to save old conversations for future reference.
xAI says the Grok memory feature is available on the Grok website and iOS/Android app in beta (excluding EU/UK), and will be added to the native version of Grok for X "soon."
"Grok now remembers your conversations. When you ask for recommendations or advice, you'll get personalized answers," the message says .

The setting can be turned off in the Data Controls menu, as well as deleting individual saved memories for each user.
Grok isn't the only chatbot with this kind of memory feature. ChatGPT has had a similar feature on its platform for a long time. OpenAI recently updated the feature to access a user's entire chat history. Google's Gemini also has a feature that allows it to remember things based on user input.
